"Icy Lake"
December 11, 2023
15x10cm (6x4 inch)
Oil on canvasboard
A tiny version of Steve's "Icy Lake".
This one fits in a standard picture frame, so it is up on my wall amongst my winter themed photographs.
It's fun to do these very small ones once in a while.
Not always easy to do though... Paints tends to blob faster when applying the thinner highlight colours.
I think this photograph is larger than the actual painting. LOL!
Even more distance in this one and very pretty!
Thank you Dirk and Cronenberg. <3
It looks good, which is tough on such a small scale.
Also very nice!
Very nice
gorgeous! Are you using any different kinds of brushes to work on such small canvas?
Thank you all! <3
@Jeffth:
I use the filbert a lot for the foliage. Scriptliner ofcourse for the trees and other branches. And I have a small flat brush for tapping in grass. (actually, in this case I used one of the BR flower brushes)
Beautiful. I love the color in the distant mountains.
Those colors make this scene so soothing! This is another really beautiful compo from you Titia!
Quite the view. Nice job Titia.
