I did another big canvas two days ago and with big, I mean Bob's size or bigger. This was done on a HQ 20"x24" canvas and took some three and a half hours to complete. It was my second painting of that day so I was quite a bit exhausted in the end.
The sky was three times better, until I had to blend it where I probably left too much paint on the canvas. Anyway, I am very fond of the right side clouds!
The wave was not too difficult yet I always had a problem with measurements since I'm not used to these bigger canvasses.
I added some shells and starfishes to fill up the foreground a bit since my rocks are a bit (too) small.
This creation will hang in the master bathroom right above the toilet, and hope nobody gets splashed while ... splashing?
Please enjoy this one!!
Yepp, it looks like storm's coming from the right hand side even though the sun is still around there.
So glad you like it Sunnylady!
The sky is beautiful and I like the dark blue water. Good job on the birds also. You ARE a diehard, two in one day! π₯΅
Yes FVG, and it weren't small ones!
Thank you so much for your cheers dear. Since so many creations were placed here the past 24 hours, this one lost much attention. The site is booming and it shows!!
Till next one!!
I hear you. If I donβt check in every couple of days Iβve found that I miss seeing some until much later.
Early this year, we got around half a dozen new ones a day but now .... that's TWO dozen!!
ANd yes .... I am also to blame since almost daily, I post one here !πβΊ
Voy this is absolutely fantastic! Love the sky and the clouds. And your comment about splashing literally made me laugh out loud! Love it.
And I am glad you post so often :)
Heather, I might call this creation 'The splasher'! ππ
So happy you love this one!!!
Wel yeah, in Corona times and out of crop season, I do have more time!!!
Ah crop season, you work in agriculture as well? Our busy season just ended. Not missing the working six days a week, especially now that it is finally cooling down and I can be outside more.
Dear Heather, I have a greenhouse and two grocery gardens, of which one in use, so plenty of work there, eight months a year!
Ah, got it. I work at a winery, so we crush grapes (not with our feet, lol). So three months out of the year it is very busy for us.
Yummmm ...... Californian wine ..... Napa valley? ..... loved being there 2012!!
I am actually located smack dab in the middle of the Central Valley. The company I work for does own several wineries in the Napa area though. Several coworkers up there had to evacuate because of the fires. Work giveaways are always nice. They have given us a lot of wine and spirits this year as a thank you for physically coming to work during Covid.
Those killing bush fires, yes, I was devastated watching those! I visited the entries West coast already and the Pacific area has always been my favourite!
Stay safe my friend, and enjoy that wine! I like a Californian now and then but we stick mostly to the French here. Besides, we live 15 minutes from the French border so .... we know where to shop!
Yeah, the fires have been really bad this year. Some of our varietals won't have 2020 vintages. I'm thankfully pretty far from the fire areas, but the air quality was very bad for a couple months.
Can't go wrong with a good French wine!

Voy, sky is absolutely amazing! There are different colors in it and it contrast so beautifully with the golden sunset!
I think the wave will splash someone, there is so much power in it!
