This version was painted at pour CRI’s class and was meant to reflect Bob’s actual painting. It is done on a 50 X 35cm oval canvas. I think I have captured the sun’s rays using Bob’s technique in this painting better than in the practice paintings. As painted, the angle of the coastline is too flat and to avoid having the waves originate from the coastline, I had to bring them in from the right. I needed to have the coastline heading off at a much more vertical angle to allow me to bring the waves down more horizontally from the middle of the painting. It looks a bit odd the way it has finished up.
