Third and final version of 'Island in the wilderness' by Bob Ross. This creation was part of an exhibition/paint demonstration organized by my community.
Due to the thunderstorms and pouring rain, I had to move my stuff into my veranda (luckily a big one). The rain was also the reason that few people came by for a visit, some 35-40 persons only I think, but they were motivated and very interested, next to being soaking wet. With some sunshine, I would have painted outdoors in my driveway and would've had a few hundred people passing by.
Some spectators were invited to give painting a try, which was really hilarious at times, but all in a good spirit. At least some daredevils helped with this painting, which was always the intention. The end result of this creation was thus rather poor, the initiative, enthousiasm and the cheers were rich, I can assure you.
Most striking point for me was that practically nobody could believe the size of the brushes that were used for these creations.
Along with the paint demonstration, I had some 38 paintings on display (street windows and veranda). My daughter (the better artist in the house) took some pictures which I like to share with you and therefor I refer you to my most recent article. Hope you will enjoy it!
