This was the second of a 'two paintings a morning' session and had only one intention, to look how the whole creation would present itself since I intend a bigger/larger composition with it in the future.
The other was 'Autumn oval' S29e2 and that latter one did not made the final cut.
So on purpose, this was painted on a small canvas '10"x12". Sky and water demanded some attention with the blending. Definitely outstanding were the trees and the front island.
Please enjoy!
Coincidence, Monet is also one of my favourites!
Thanks Felix, this was a try out for a future bigger canvas, and it was successful.
Wow Voy, this is a great painting, I love everything about it from that fierce looking sky , rushing water and those big empowering trees. Great job 👍
Out of these 2 you posted this one has up-close intimate look. The other one has more space in it. Pines are truly almighty. there are pines that were used in the ship building for masts and this is mast forest ( at least this is direct translate from Russian and not sure if that will make any sense). I like pink in the sky, is it BR or W&N?
Looking forward to see your big canvas!
Thank you Nivek!
The trick for such sky is good blending AND putting the exact amount of paint needed on the canvas.
I love those kind of trees, they show big yet hold few foliage that blocks the view.
Till next one!
No worries Sunnylady, also in Dutch that is called mast wood! 😋
This is probably the creation that will be witheld for a larger canvas holding four ovals.
I only have one tube of BR and this is dark Sienna. All the rest are W&N and some are Jackson' art. My Indian yellow is a Van gogh. The latter is a good brand and mostly at budget prices!
I'd love to see a huge painting by you Voy. Something along the lines of the water lilies in the Musée de l'Orangerie
My goodness Felix, that has the size of a truck!
Will need to order my paint by the bucket!!😂

The water is great, reminds me of Monet with all those different colors!
