I truly struggle with the palette knife. I did this one all with brushes. I used a flat, round bristle and fan brush. About midway I gave up and just went in this direction. I over paint big time and don't know when to stop. I'm working on that.

Thank you. I'm never sure what's easy for me. I will watch a video several times even before trying. I look at the brushes and for techniques I think I'm familiar with. Then I try and I'm not as familiar as I think I am. Thank you again.
I think you did pretty good here! There's an episode in one of Bob's later seasons (sorry can't remember which right now) in which he ONLY uses a pallet knife. That might be something good for you to practice to get more comfortable.

It does take some time to get use to painting but I can tell you it does get easier once
I started off just watching the easy ones Bob does and notice the things he does to give the painting depth
