This is a first for this community!
Today, I had a paint date with Sunnylady and we came up with two versions of 'Winter in pastel', one in gouache and one in oils.
I can recommend such endavour between two painters, seperated by thousands of miles yet joint together by Skype! It has been a wonderful experience. How else to describe two artists, with such respect for each others timing and skills, who are painting together with only a picture as a lead (we did not run the Bob video!)?
Sharing smiles, stories, paint information, composition advice, songs, happy humming and just, you know, like two befriended youngsters enjoying their mutual hobby.
Can one start a better artistic weekend then this?! I doubt it and I would like to invite all of you to try a similar artist co-operation.
Please enjoy Sunnylady's creation and mine and let us know what you think of it in our comment boxes, as well as on the forum!!
Till next one and thanks again Sunnylady, for being such a wonderful painting guide and companion!!

Thanks to you as well Felix, who brought us and all other members of this community together!
So happy you love our initiative!
Longer I look at it more interesting things that I start seeing.
Smooch, love you my sweet painting buddy! ππ
First I love the depth with the trees in distance and I realized that further purple layer looks like very far away trees! Second I like that the warmth of the brown made it warmer in mood and makes me think about the spring is already fighting the winter in the valley. The sky purple got calmed down and does not jump at us and brings the landscape as main character in the painting. This is because purples on the ground were pure colors without getting calm with ochre. On this contrast sky sank to the background far away. Which brings me to a wonderful idea to start painting more gray and calmed colors and only focal points with clean color to light up the painting!
Thank you for the learning together Voy!
My pleasure Sunnylady. We created fireworks! π
Two hours later now and all colours are more settling in which gives an amazing better sky!

Dear Tom, I cherish your valid comment very much!
It has been a very productive week for me (little over 20 creations) and the cherry on top of that cake was definitely the co-operation with Sunnylady. It was her invitation to try this initiative and it turned out to be a big succes!! We both grew from this, artisticaly and friendship wise.
What more can we wish?
I am at moment in time where I only wish to paint what I really like, concerning Bob Ross. Although I have 8 paintings (not all to my liking) left to finish two seasons , I will try to uphold a certain quality.
Thanks so much for your comment, means a lot to Sunnylady and me!
Pietro, thanks a lot! I can surely tell I enjoyed painting with Voy. I hope many more paint together will come and I hope this initiative will be adopted by other members here too!
