I'm going back through my Joy of Painting books and painting the episodes I had, thus far, skipped, which means I have a good number of cabins and ovals to paint, but I actually think they are pretty fun. Not sure really why I skipped them in the first place.

Dracula, that is a wonderful painting! Snow is so alive with those bumps and hills. I have overall feeling of cold beautifully translated through the blue and gray colors.
Cabin looks very abandoned which adds to coldness. Little ochre sparkles increases the blue as contrasting color and makes it more cold.

I have yet to do an oval painting.I will have to reserve a canvas for a lil cottage like this.Very pleasing little painting you have here Drac.Im always spending extra time looking at your trees.Nice work on the little fence.Im a lover of water.being an Aquarian,Im drawn to it.Great job my friend.Cheers,P
