My attempt to get this difficult scene with, in my opinion, a bit too much leaves and green on the canvas. I did all the leaves with a filbertbrush, most difficult part for me were the rocks between all that green, on canvasboard 24 x 30 cm.

I love this scene, its one of my BR favourites and I'd be happy to paint it every day. You did a great job. I particularly like your lavender foliage, the highlights are very delicate. The original had too much green in it for me too so I did a lot more rocks as the knife was working for me that day. I found it easy on an 18x24 inch. I don't think I could do this scene on your small canvas. You did amazing.

Thank you for your positive reactions Stephanie, Kerri, Helen and Cold, to be honest, I was (painted it saturday) and still I am not so happy with the result, I hesitated to upload it, but I am glad you like it!
I know, I often feel like that. I don't know what's worse, noticing you've made rookie errors, not quite knowing what's wrong, or knowing what's wrong but not having the skill to fix it. That's me that is, all three! I think you just have to know what you don't like about it, and do it different next time.
