Hidden Stream #2 - 4/1/23
After reading a few internet articles mentioning that this is one of the hardest Bob Ross paintings, I figured I would give it a go. This is my 2nd version of this that I painted. Version 1 is attached for comparison/reference. I have to say, I think I could paint this 10 times in a row and not get sick of it. This is an incredibly fun and satisfying painting to create. I followed Paul Ranson's tutorial here:

Paul mentions in his tutorial that he actually had to paint this 2 times before he was satisfied.
There is a whole lot of paint layering required in this painting which is a recipe for mud mixing.
I like my 2nd version way better than my first.
18" x 24" canvas. As always, your comments and suggestions (especially suggestions) are desired and welcome.
So, do you agree? Is this one of the hardest Bob Ross paintings? I have not painted this one yet so I'm wondering what exactly makes it such a difficult painting.
Thanks Cold :) Thanks Brian. I would say it is probably the most complex BR painting I have done so far. Lots of paint layering and planning is so important as you go. The right side of the painting is more complex than the left. I actually used a Paul Ranson tip and scraped the paint where the tree trunk is, then filled in the trunk.
Very nice colored variation of that episode!
