3/9/23 - UPDATED Mountain Blossoms (s5e3)
After seeing a few suggestions and some self reflection, I modified my painting. The front row of bushes in my original version just did not look right. I also tweaked the tree branches a bit. I have attached my original (before updating).
Below is my description from original post:
I had a need to see some purple :) This is a Dana Jester painting. I added a couple more evergreens for practice.
18" x 24" canvas. As always, your comments and suggestions (especially suggestions) are welcome.
Thank you Sandy :)
An excellent update Tony! I love the more bold colors in the foreground bushes but I think the biggest difference is the more randomness of the shapes. In the first one it seemed much more linear and boxy. This seems much more natural.
Thanks Pam - as you can see I like color and this one really gives you a chance to use that artistic license with color. I tried to vary the shades of red/purple as best I could for contrast. As far as the randomness of the bushes now, I could not agree with you more. Thanks for the feedback ;)
Very nice and colorful!
Great update, Tony.
The bushes look way better this way.
Also loving those light mountains.
