I don't think I've done a Dana Jester painting before. I really like his style, however, now that I am looking at other versions, it seems I misunderstood some of what I was seeing in the book.

I don't know what the book looks like but this version is marvelous! The mist surrounding the mountains and the haziness over the evergreens is excellent and the clouds fit perfectly. Your foreground is nicely detailed with depth and palet knife scratchings. Spectacular!!

The dark misty area is very noticeable to me, a refreshing change to white mist. I haven't seen much of Dana's work but this looks perfectly fine to me. In any event, you always put your own spin on these paintings which turns out fabulous every time.

So for me that subtle taste of pink draped across those epic mountains is what draws me in. Good one Dracula!!
