So I had to paint this twice which never happened before because the first time it was a total mess. I realized that my magic white had gotten pretty dry and thick and I had not thinned and mixed it properly and it is definitely NOT the way to start an alla prima painting. Lesson learned. The second time around I decided not to paint the front dirt and extra tree. I use smaller canvases for my Bob paintings (12' by 16') and I did not leave enough room for all that on the bottom and I thought it would look too crowded. I definitely like doing the "fluffy" trees and the birch trees than the pine trees.
thank you :)
