Well, I have since long a bunch of black canvasses prepared so today, I took my chances on one. It has been months and months since I did a sea scenery but to be honest, this sea scape is not difficult at all. Anybody really should give this one a try!
Canvas used was a recycled HQ 12"x16". No medium was necessary but a layer of paint (three colours) on the canvas.
Easiest part were the horizon, the moon reflections and the palm trunks. Thougher were the palm leaves where much to my surprise, since this is a forte, I couldn't get the leaves into a descent shape. In all, I am happy with the end result though and it will make the living room!
Please enjoy!
Thanks TLP!!
In all, this creation took some 70 minutes to do. For the sky, one needs to make certain to keep enough darker areas. I can recommend this one to ya!!
Beautiful job! All details came out excellent!
Sandy, you're making me blush! You darling you!
Beautiful moonlight scene. I'm planning on painting this one again someday.
Go for it Umagaan, a real easy and fast one to do, took me some 70 minutes, without haste, only fun!
There's also plenty of room for own interpretations concerning clouds and waves! Just make certain you have enough space left at the bottom to create wet sand, mine was a little too narrow!
Good luck!
Wonderful sky and beach!
Thanks Hlarson, just a gem from the earlier series that everybody should try out!
Beautiful!
Miss Lizzy, such great surprise to welcome you here. Thank you so much for appreciating!!
Very nice Voy
Thank you Matt, just trying to uplive and confirm my standard as mediocre amateur! 😪
bluesy shoreline ..love it V!
Hi Pietro! So happy you love this one my friend!!
Hehe, Guna, always a treat reading your comments!
This is an early season where Bob still opted to not put the focus on the breaker wave but rather on the entire sea! I like that and will see to paint others from the earlier seasons as well.
And yes, also I adore black canvasses!
Wow, everything about this is gorgeous, the reflection, the waves, the clouds over the moon, even the lone rock and palm trees. Loving the black canvas also!
