Wanted to paint this since ages but was always terrified of that sky. Since three weeks, I prepared the canvas for this with red acrylic. Today, I reserved four hours for this paining yet only needed 80 minutes for it to complete. What was in my lunch??!
Budget canvas of 12"x16" was used. Few was easy here or it were the rock, the sand and the distant waves. If you give the sky your FULL attention, you will benefit from it!
Now I have to make an unhappy decision where I really want to display this one amongst my other seascapes yet there is NO additional room in my living room for it. I'm hesitant to change between one already displayed there.
This was my 17th seascape, my 150th Bob Ross. Please enjoy and till next one!
I do love a seascape. Well done.
Fire over yonder v..dark waves ..the horizon looks threatening..I took my boat out one day in that kind of weather..I almost fell in..But it was worth it..It was a 26" cabin cruiser..I gotta do a scene with that baby!Love this.
Thank you Umagaan for your cheerful and comforting comment!
Decision was confirmed by the family yesterday, that this one should be on display. Rests now the search for a suitable place ....

I really love that sky! The vibrant background colors and the menacing clouds. This painting scares me too 😉 Good job an good luck finding a nice place for it 😊
