From another Stephen conway tutorial but with a couple of tweeks, Stephen is an avid user of "naples yellow" so i bought a tube as i had never used it. It can be seen in the trees here but i'm not sure...what do you think guys?
Very realistic light and colors and all the little details! Fantastic painting! I do not use Naples yellow, did you like using it? What is main difference between cad yellow and Naples?
Thanks for the kind words, i suppose the best way to describe naples yellow would be to say it is far less bright compared to cadmium almost muddy. Having looked again at the trees i have decided to go back in with a little cadmium
Thanks!
I haven't watched this tutorial yet, but I have seen it come up as suggested on my feed. You nailed it! Great job!
Thanks Doggy, i changed the foreground just so it's not exactly the same, something i often do

This looks great; I love the late day lighting you achieved. I also use Naples Yellow on my palette. It has a striking opacity and blends well with other warm colors. Nice work!
