Oil on paper
9”x12”
This is a study of a photo I took several years ago while vacationing in Quebec. I have really been enjoying painting on gesso-coated (heavy) watercolor paper. This piece actually used a piece of paper that was a test of “homemade gesso” that I probably won’t use again because it’s not archival quality, but the grit in the “gesso” created an almost stucco-like texture. This was a very interesting texture to use with paint knife.
Yes in deed..nice techniques!
