Watercolor and ink on paper | 9”x12” | Unfortunately, the geometry on the house is a little off, but I kept rolling with it anyway. This is a painting based on a photo of my front yard after I cut down a diseased maple tree. Since I took this photo, I ground the stump and have prepared the ground to plant a new tree. I am reminded of the symbolism that new life comes even when there is an end.
Thank you! We love our old house, built in 1846. We’ve put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into bringing it back to life but we’ve enjoyed the process.
