When I saw Tom's beautiful version of this turorial I wanted to try it myself and there were no other paintings on my list to do, so I did it today. I was doubting to remove the paint of the basic layer of the mountain as much as possible (as Bob always do, but Bill did it not) before covering the two different highlights, maybe that was the reason a lot of highlight paint was absorbed by the underlayer. I like the scene with the dark water and trees, so here is my version, on canvasboard 30 x 24 cm.
Thanks Brian,a kind of oval brush, but much smaller then Bob's, see second picture, it was hard to get a sharp point for the tops, I used a kind of liner brush for that for some tops but could also use the palletknife.
Thanks Jos!

Thank you all, Dirk (when can we expect another one from DE?), Sandy, Mohammed, Cosmo and Dave!
I thought this might attract you too Jos๐ well done!
Beautiful!
Hey Jos, I really don't have time to paint anything. The work is in the foreground. When it gets quieter, there's something new. Grรผรe ๐๐ผ๐ฉ๐ช
You were right Tom, I like this one very much, thanks Cold and Dirk, I hope you have some time to keep on painting soon.
Did another try on stretched canvas 40 x 30 cm, see third picture.

Amazing Jos! Which brush did you use for the trees?
