The tale of a young fir tree, discontent with life and constantly wasting it wishing for a different one. It realizes, however too late, what it had, and reflects on its life and the lessons it has learned.
A wonderful reminder for us this season, and always, to practice gratitude and find contentment in our lives.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
awesome mood and dramatic lighting; how did you do that moon?! I love it so much. nice story btw!
Beautiful work Pam!
Thank you Dirk!
Thanks Jeffth! The moon started out as a few coats of white gesso as a circle painted on a black gesso canvas. Then just patiently adding/blending black, van dyke brown and white to get the effect I wanted and softly blending in the pthalo green. The painting was done wet on wet like Bob style.
Thanks so much Brian!
Great painting Pam. I especially love your moon and its reflections off the snow and trees and the way it highlights your little fir tree and rabbit in the foreground. Fantastic. Merry Christmas to you and yours also. Cheers
