This was the outcome of my paint date with Voy Kay yesterday. Thank you Voy, for your patient teachings, and dealing with my much slower painting... and Doggy distractions! My single Evergreen got away from me and turned in to three! They needed happy little friends! It really was a joy creating this Angel, and I am happy she exists for a good cause. Thank you Colin, for asking our community to donate art. I am honored to help your initiative.
Thank you Voy, and I agree. I had so much fun yesterday, I was still talking about it at bedtime! Hope we can paint together again soon!
You're on!!
I am smiling now!
In Austria we don't have Santa bring the presents on Christmas morning, we have the Christkind bring them on Christmas Eve. This is pretty much exactly how I imagined it when I was younger.
Glad I could bring up some childhood memories Felix!
Doggymommee, the texture of the sky is amazing. It shimmers. The brush work on the angel brings him forward and makes the focus in the painting!
Thank you Sunnylady! I used a sponge for the sky. I also went in after Voy and I got off Skype and added some stars with the “flicking it off the fan brush with the pallet knife” technique. The falling star was Voy’s lovely suggestion as the sky looked pretty bare without it. Angel brush strokes were a happy accident.
Bit of Monet in there. Really good!
Thank you Colin!

You created a gem Heather! No worries, it came straight from your heart and soul! That's the main value!!
