Have not painted anything for ages as I have been looking after my elderly mother 100's of miles away during 3rd lockdown in the UK. Just found this picture on my phone of me attempting sunlight through trees. Obviously incomplete at present due to circumstance I will finish it when I get through lockdown. Based on Kevin Hill tutorial although nothing like it !! :) It will be interesting to see the difference an 6 month gap makes to painting style as I had only just started ... miss it
I think it looks great the way it is. You did an amazing job of capturing the sun rays coming through the trees. Very impressive.

Obviously incomplete? Not so obvious to me because I think it looks fantastic! The sun rays and details on the tree roots are wonderful. The leaves in the path of the sun rays seem to glow.

Wow I wasn't expecting those comments but thank you so much to all of you for your kind words. I had forgotten I had started painting this until I saw the photo. I will think about your kind words and thoughts about the painting I may be over thinking it but I definitely hadn't finished it in my mind as I was called away to look after my mother. I will look at it properly in a few months and repost it once I can start painting again. I have added an image with what finished look like. Thank you for all your comments it will be nice to have another go at painting soon.
