Well, if you have a sunrise you also have to have a sunset. I used liquid clear for this one. Loved blending the colors and painting the trees. I find the contrast between the trees and the sky really beautiful. Had lots of fun painting this.
Voy you say the nicest things ❤ It's really thanks to you that I tried these two African paintings, your collection really inspired me and I'm so grateful to you. And I must say that before starting to paint today I checked some of your African paintings to get a feel of what to do. So in a way this is your painting too 😉🤗
You are too modest Umagaan, and specially very honourable and grateful.
I feel very warm welcomed by your kind words and your respect. I am proud to call you a friend and equally proud I was partially the inspiration to your wonderful creation. I SO MUCH LOVE IT!!
You saved me having to take a trip, excellent realism.
Looks so realistic! Love the sky colors and that silhouetted tree is amazing.
I love That sky! You must need the most steady hand in the world for those trees i think. Great painting 👏🏻
Thanks everyone 😁
Sander02 in fact while painting the branches it's ok if the hand is shaking a bit 😉 The biggest challenge was painting the tiny birds, there's really no room for error there.
That sky is breathtaking!
Stunning picture. Love the contrast. Can I ask what brush did you use for the leaves on the trees?
Thanks doggymommee8301 😊
Curleybap I used a no. 4 fanbrush for the big tree and no. 4 filbert for the small. I think fanbrush works best thanks to its shape. I also tried using no. 6 fanbrush but a smaller one gives you more control.
Thanks. I’ve never tried an African landscape but you’ve convinced me to have a go.

This is just WAW!!
You realy got that African painting spirit with this Umagaan!
Oh my, wish that hung on my wall!
Simplicity really works here, the sky is the true eye catcher here, carefully enhanced with that perfect tree!
