Wanted something festive this year since we do not have Christmas tree or lights this year.
Yesterday I did a sketch fully with non dominant hand which inspired me today to add magic of colors to it. Oil on canvas sheet A4.
Could not figure out how to upload additional photos thus they are not vertically oriented.
Merry Christmas!
Super Sunnylady!
I specially like the shimmy effect that canvas sheet gave. The aurealis borealis is just awesome!
You have my vote!
@flippergirl, @Voy - thanks folks!
@Voy - that shimmy effect is nothing but a glare from oil. I had to use the low quality ODP from hardware store... so currently waiting how it will behave as it dries.
Quite surprised that canvas sheet behaved very well and no solvent sipped through it to the back side. I guess I will be doing more hand made recopies for solvents soon and will learn how to do stand/processed linseed oil... i hope kitchen will not stink forever :)
This is lovely. The shadows in the snow and sky give depth and I really like your lighted windows. They appear as candlelight.
May your Christmas be Merry!
@ForestVue Gallery - thank you very much! Merry Christmas to you too!
I like to think that people inside sit hugging each other in the cozy sofa with candle lights and having a nice chat about what they are thankful for to this difficult year.
Yes, no matter what is going on in this World, that is a beautiful scene in your cozy cabin!
I love this cozy cabin! Excellent job creating the warming glow of the lights inside shining out onto the snow.

Very sweet scene! Love those little Christmas lights and the ladder. Nice glow in the window!
