I guess there is only so much Bob Ross style painting you can learn before you have to bite the bullet and try to paint a mountain. So this is my first attempt. It is based on a recent tutorial by Ryan Moyer, who posts on his YouTube channel "Wild Creates".
12"x16" Black canvas. Oils: Liquid Clear, Liquid White, Titanium White and Midnight Black.
So this is a simple black and white composition designed to teach newbies like me how to paint mountains. Some clouds in the back, mist-footed mountains in the middle and no foreground.
I love the overhead perspective here and your clouds and mountains are terrific! I did a few Wild tutorials too before trying one of Bobβs and he prepared me well. You are ready!
mountains are notoriously difficult, and this is very nice. Your first looks like my 10th!
