Svetozar Miletić (1826 – 1901) was a prominent Serbian politician, lawyer, journalist, and national leader in the Habsburg Monarchy. He was a key figure in the Serbian national movement, advocating for the rights and autonomy of Serbs within the Austro-Hungarian Empire. He also served as the mayor of Novi Sad between 1861 and 1862, and again from 1867 to 1868.
He is remembered for his dedication to the cultural and political emancipation, often facing persecution and imprisonment for his activism. His legacy includes his influence on later leaders in the struggle for Serbian national identity.
