Kevin hill pumpkin still life

This was originally planned for the Halloween event until I read the small text that said it needs to be an original. Oops. This is why you read instructions first! Oh well I learned more about still life painting and I really enjoyed making this.

Great painting none the less!

This is really eye catching. Great work with color and shading!

Such realtiy, and that from such close POV.
WAW!

It is a lovely painting. Time spent painting is never wasted.

This is great painting! You have wonderfully made the volume of the pumpkins. Fence is great and so real!

Thanks everyone! And you are right froggie time spent painting is never wasted. It just makes me laugh because it reminded me of a test I had when I was a child. In the directions it said “sign on the back and turn test over. No need to answer and questions” as a test to see who would read and follow directions. It’s just amusing to me that all these years later I’m still just charging ahead before reading all the directions 😂

Wow! Really great job here. I've watched a few of Kevin Hill's YouTube videos, but I haven't tried any yet. I feel like I miss too much in the YouTube version, and haven't made the plunge to purchase the full versions off his site. Did you follow the YouTube, or a purchased version for this?

Doggymommee he shockingly has very few things for purchase in full versions - especially in acrylic. I don’t know why. In the comments so many of his videos have people asking for a full version. This was just based off his quickie video so I had to extrapolate a lot but I was overall pretty happy with the end result. This was the first YouTube video of his that I followed - lots of gaps in the steps but it was fun figuring it out.

Well with the gaps in the video, you certainly KILLED it then!! Great job!!
