Had to do a Northern Lights painting in my favorite color combo teal and purple!

How did you do that stars? Before or after the aurora? They look very distant.
I did the aurora then I did the stars. I make a mixture of titanium white and paint thinner, mix so its not runny. if its dripping down your palette its too runny. then I tap the mixture into a fan brush and flick it against a palette knife
This is so pretty, great choice of colours. I agree with Regan your stars are very well placed. Just the right amount of paint thickness on your aurora to make the stars appear very distant. You got that so right. The first time I did stars I flicked it in the wrong direction and got nothing on the canvas. I did have a face full though. 🤣
