Watercolor on paper
9”x12”
I picked up a little travel watercolor set from Winsor & Newton because I wanted to have a more compact way to do field studies. Watercolor is definitely very different from oil painting. However, as I was trying interpret this Bob Ross painting as a watercolor, it occurred to me how much of his style incorporated watercolor concepts: washes, preserving white space to add detail without mud mixing, emphasis on transparent colors, etc.
