The background trees turned out a little darker than Bob's but I was OK with it. This was another instance in which I had to trust the process and not judge until the piece was finished. I tried using the thinner trick on the background trees but not much luck. So I had to use the good old-fashioned liquid white. But like Bob says, "we just show you how to make these effects and then turn you loose on the world."
My favorite parts are that amazing tree, and the sky with the beautiful clouds. Another well done painting! You must be working towards doing all 403 paintings!
Thank you. And that would be quite the feat. I just hit the 106 mark so a loooong way to go.
get them out of the closet and sell!!!
Lol I'm working on that Toadi. I actually just found a home for one of them today. I definitely hope people are interested in them. I hate to see them just sitting neatly in my closet.
Go for it Matt. Visual appeal of your paintings are great.

I really like the shadows in the snow. I struggle as well with not judging a piece until it’s complete. Learning to trust in the oil is a skill in and of itself, lol.
