Mountain in an Oval

LoriEC 27 Dec 2020

Another version of this one. This time without the grid. My mountains seemed a little too big and closer than I wanted so I added the big tree in front of them. It did seem to help push them back. Not sure which version I like best.

Voy Kay Conqueror of Challenges

Personaly, I prefer the one with the grid but that would be because I like turbulent skies!
The idea of creating distance with that big tree is excellent!

Yes my sky did turn out better in the first painting. It really challenged me in the first but my mountain was easy. This time time it was the opposite. Funny how a technique can seem easy one time and difficult the next. All part of learning I guess.
