Cactus at Sunset

LoriEC 16 Mar 2021

Not sure how I feel about this one. Much more difficult than expected. My sky turned purple which I was not happy with so I added some red and yellow and worked in some white to change it up. My foreground seems a bit lighter than it should be but try as I may I just couldn’t get the effect I was looking for. I do like the cactuses. I think I’m gonna need to try this one again.

I quite like the sky. Beautiful colors.

That sun miraculously throws its shine through the clouds and on the pathway. This creation has a smoky/Western atmosphere, which suits these desert sceneries, much to my liking!

Thanks folks. Being from Arizona, I've seen some amazing sunrises and sunsets. Was hoping for more of a reddish orange so when the sky went purple I had to work it quite alot. Maybe next time I'll try using red and yellow instead of the crimson.

I might add here Lori that it has been my experience since two months, that bright red gives a much nicer colour (orange!) then A. Crimson. I even stopped mixing Crimson with yellow for that matter.

Thanks Voy. I will look to try that next time.
