Second painting. Used on canvas board. Seemed to dry quickly.

Used some thinner for the hill but maybe not enough liquid white to start. Probably took 10 days or so to dry. Will stick with canvas board for now as inexpensive whilst still experimenting. Never had an inkling to paint until I saw Bob on TV this year.
Ah, okay. I thought you were running into drying issues WHILE painting. Ten days on canvas board with not a lot of paint makes sense. I tend to put stuff on too thick, so it takes forever to dry. I have one up on the wall in my office that is still a little sticky, lol.
Side note, I am going to have to do this one soon. Purple is my favorite color, and I love winter scenes.

Very good for your second painting! Regarding the quick drying: how fast did it dry? Did you use a lot of paint thinner? Looks like you don't have a whole lot of paint on there, so that could contribute. Was the quick drying an issue for you, or just an observation?
