This is my version of Covered Bridge. After reading comments from others about difficulty with highlights and contrast, I used a different technique for my painting. Also if you see this painting in a book as opposed to the video, they are very different. I decided to start with black gesso underpainting on the lower portion of the canvas and for the background foliage. I used liquid clear and sap green as a base. Highlights showed up better! Ross oils on 18 x 24 canvas

This looks amazing. I think you did a great job with the highlights. I like how you left the bridge element, but didn't put it over water. The shading in the "tunnel" looks good.
