First time using gesso. I really enjoy painting trees and I'm working on not getting a muddy background - it can go to muddy so quickly! I was using a much smaller canvas than Bob, so I didn't end up doing the water technique that he showed, but I still like how it turned out.

That tree bark is excellent! Very nice background colouring as well.
