By the Sea

Happy 2025 Everyone! Here's my first attempt at a seascape on my own (12x16 canvas), which I did while following Paul Ranson's tutorial. I didn't quite get my clouds to be as soft as Bob's version, but I don't mind the contrast here between the clouds and sky. The wave was super fun to create. I had trouble with the distant land mass and the lavender used in the original, so I just turned mine into a lighter shade of brown. Overall, a great learning experience and I look forward to more seascapes to come!
