Snow Fall

Ninoum 04 Nov 2024

Great winter scene with limited palette. In the 1st book, Bob uses a lot the combo of VDB & PB. I am always afraid to get green out of that mix. Lol. But it makes a beautiful grayish color.

I’d say that the challenge in this one are the clouds. Very easy to make the knife stroke the same and too parallel to one another. I had that issue. I went back and disrupted that pattern. That’s why my sky looks the way it does. Not a fan of it. Still learning as you can see! πŸ˜‰

The snow is always so much fun to do. The consistency (just a bit thicker than the signature one) of the paint has to be perfect to avoid big blobs or elongated snowflakes. I had that happening too. Tho, it’s an easy fix.

I hope these little nuggets of info can help some of you out to achieve the best results. πŸ˜ƒ

Beautiful N, it looks so cold! Awesome sky and mountains, really special foreground tree. I love it ✌️
