A Warm Winter

Tom0779 16 Oct 2024

As I work myself through season 28 I came across this episode. I was so surprised that this seems to be one of the most unpopular episodes at all. It has only been painted 9 times before.
Interesting what would be the reason behind that. Maybe it is the oval? But this can be skipped very easily.
Maybe it is the brown background trees? I don’t know.
However my daughter chose that one for the next painting from this season. So I painted it. I was under time pressure so I had to paint very fast. The size of the oval is only around 30 x 40 cm. Thus I used the fan brush for the evergreens, whereas I normally would use the 1 inch brush.
It is oils on canvas panel 16 x 20 inches (40 x 50 cm)

Top work as always,Tom 👍🏼🇩🇪ich denke der bruch im Himmel war nicht so einfach mit den dazwischen liegenden Wolken ?

Beautiful, normally I don't like those dark brown bushes in the snow and the sky seems not very natural, but now I see your version I also want to paint it, but that's the case with almost every painting you did haha!

Beautiful work Tom! Love the sky!

Wow, this one is a stunner, from that gorgeous sky to your well-crafted little cabin in front of those beautiful evergreens! You have amazing talent, Tom!

Gorgeous! Excellent work

Beautiful work, this is far better than the original Tom! Wonderful ✌️

Danke Dirk. Der Himmel war gar nicht so schlimm. Bob hat viele ähnliche Szenen gemalt.
