"Waterside Way"

So... I decided to do this one using only the knife.
And because of that I decided not to put the trees in the middle. I felt like it would all become too crowded due to the rough look the painting has.
Instead I made the two trees on the left lean over a bit more.
The sky was made using Cobalt Blue and the warm greens were made using a mixture of Cobalt Blue and Indian Yellow, a combination I had not used before. At first it looked I was mixing mud, but then I discovered it can be used to make a whole range of warm greens, ranging from almost brown to bright yellowish greens.
My happy accident for today.

The knife can give a scene so much texture, literally.
