Autumn Fantasy

Oil on canvas
50x40cm

A friend came over to give this technique of painting a try. He picked a couple of scenes he liked and in the end we decided on this one.
Being used to acrylics he really struggled not to mix mud (I felt the pain because I recognised it from when I first tried this LOL), but as far as I'm concerned he did really well.

And here's my version.

I know Bob didn't reflect the mountains, but I kinda regret not reflecting them at least a tiny bit. Oh well. Let's just say the water is really shiny in the foreground and so the mountains are not reflected. :D

I really like this. I love the water lines. They really have added to your entire piece. I think its fantastic.

The way the shoreline fades into the water on the foreground left is particularly neat to me.

Turned out beautifully, including your mountains! I ditto about the water lines and reflections - super!

Thank you Aaron, flippergirlpaints and Mgiese. <3
Much appreciated.

@Aaron: Yes, I also like how the shore on the left fades into the water.
Like a little sandy beach.

This is outstanding. Just tried this one today.
