Had our first snow yesterday so I was inspired to do a winter scene. Not going to lie, I tried this yesterday and it was such a disaster I swore I would never paint again. However, it's nasty cold outside and I needed to hide so I could get out of putting up Christmas decorations so I tried again. This time I used only a tiny tiny tiny bit of liquid white (Like literally one dollop on the end of a 1" brush) and it came out better. I still really couldn't get the snow to lay in as white until it was pretty much just straight liquid white itself. Not sure what I'm doing wrong but I managed to get around it this time by just leaving blank spots on the canvas for trees and bushes.
What ever you did…keep doing it. This is great!
