The color palettes/schemes of Bob's winter scenes are my absolute favorite. I wanted to make another matte-style background painting, that I could then experiment with pixelating like an old school MS-DOS adventure game/static Final Fantasy battle background screen. I'm not a fan of oval cut-outs, and I fell in love with the vibe of this piece before completing the giant trees in the foreground, so called it a day at this point! 18x24 oil on canvas, one of the first paintings I did with good quality brushes/knives in the Fall of 2022.
