White gesso before (let it stick better) and after (seal the oval edges) putting the contact paper on (in my case: contact plastic), the only paint over the line was due to afterwork after removing the contact plastic and I forgot not to hit the oval shape. I found this painting very hard (while Bob says it's a good one for beginners), maybe because the colors were very near to each other and Bob first makes the canvas dark by black gesso and ac/sgreen and then makes it light again with white/iyellow to put after that the darker trees on. On canvasboard 24 x 30 cm.
that sounds like a lot of gesso, and a lot of work, but it paid off! This is really cool looking.
I absolutely love your version Jos! Itβs so colorful!
Hey Jos Great painting , I also painted it, it's in my list ππΌπ©πͺ
Thank you Tomi, Jeffth (two layers white gesso and some black gesso), Brian and Dirk (NL)!
Love the different tones and colors! It catches the eyes nicely! Great work!
Thank you Nancy, I think I was most happy with the oval and you were right about better sticking after a layer of gesso.
Very neat version Jos
HΓ© Matt, thank you!
