Under Pastel Skies - s28e3
I had so much fun painting this. I am convinced, that if Bob had more time in the episode, he would have added a big tree of some type on the right side of the painting. I may just go back and add one.
The idea of this painting is you are standing on an overlook peering over the scene below. Although I like this painting, I feel like I did not adequately capture the feeling of being high up on the overlook. A couple other areas of the painting I feel could be better are: the cloud to the right of the way background mountain, it feels like it should not be there; I don't like the color of the water in the 'back' lake; I don't like the way the small trees to the right of the 2 evergreens look. It does not give the feeling of looking down on the valley below. SO WHAT IS A GUY TO DO????
I know, I'll paint it again immediately :) My next painting will be version 2 of this painting.
As usual, the photo is not good. I swear, I am the world's worst photographer. 18" x 24" canvas. As always, your comments (especially suggestions) are desired and welcome.
You did a great job!
