I wanted to do this one a very very long time ago. Then I completely forgot about it. I looked thru βThe best of the Joy of Paintingβ and found it. I knew it was time to put it on canvas.
The only thing that bothers me a little are how bright are my waterlines. But i can live with them. π
Hey Nancy, ist looks more realistic as the original.superππΌπ©πͺ
ahhh lovely painting Nancy..water is wonderful.cheers,P
Thank you Tomi! It was def a fun one to do. I wanted to keep it quite dark and earthy tone colors like in the book. Sometimes, Bob goes too bright (I know for TV he didn't have much of a choice). That's why I think my waterlines are too bright. I might touch them up once the canvas is dry. It will be easier for that particular task.
Happy Friday my friend! π©πͺβοΈ That's a super compliment. π Thank you much!
Grazie mille amico mio! π
Excellent! So realistic
Beautiful Nancy! I guess itβs too late to address the brightness of your waterlines?
Awesome, this is one of my favorites by you.
I am having a hard time taking my eyes off the bare trees. Outstanding effort Nancy.
Just beautiful!
Thank you Cold! I am getting better at making more realism in my painting. Glad you appreciate! π
Thank you B! βοΈ Yes, I could have done it right there and then, specially if the canvas was a white one. Having a black canvas makes it a lot more challenging. I didn't feel spending double the amount of time fixing it. Instead, I'll do it when dry. Much faster.
Awwww! π₯Ή Thank you Tom! It's really appreciated. π
Thank you very much Tony! Those trees were some of my fav to paint in that compo! Glad you enjoy them! π
Thank you very much Sandy! πΌ
