2/7/2023 - Winter Stillness (s5e4)
I had one more canvas that I primed with a rose colored gesso, so I decided I would do a winter scene in an oval. Bob's original painting was not done in an oval. I think I may go back and touch up a couple small items once it dries. This was a fun one to paint.
18" x 24" canvas. As always, your comments and suggestions (especially suggestions) are welcome.
Super job on this one Tony. And I echo Nancy. The pinkish gesso goes perfect with that little pink in the sky
Thank You Nancy and Matt. I searched through the Bob paintings for quite a while before deciding on this painting. I actually chose it because I thought the pink in the sky was a perfect compliment to the border. I also figured a winter scene would be the best season to use for this color of gesso.
Well done Tony. I like the how the gesso harmonizes with the sky.
Thanks Tom :)
Very pretty Tony!

The rose gesso goes so well with your sky. And it makes the whole painting pop. Your perspective is great and so is your lay of the land. Your evergreens are very nice.
