Double Oval Stream

Ninoum 03 Dec 2022

This is the other BR painting that hasn’t been painted once in 2021 (the other one was Splashes of autumn). Here is my version.

I didn’t want to do the 2 full ovals, so I made “half” ones on each side. I thought it would look good to have the empty space in neutral gray. Now that the painting is done, it looks like a giant tree in the middle since it doesn’t contrast that much. Leaving it white would have looked better.

My question to you guys… should I put a white outline on the edge of my ovals to define them better and have the birch trees not look like a giant tree?

Really pretty!

I think it looks good! I immediately saw it as a border, not a tree.

Me to Alexandria. It’s great Nancy!

Thank you so much Brian and Alexandria! I really appreciate your input! 😊

Thank you much Sandy!

That water is such a pleasant green.

I don't think the grey is a bad idea, it just got so covered up that it takes a second for your mind to figure out that there's an abstract shape in the midground.

Thanks Nick! I actually decided to add a white outline to define the edges of the half ovals. Check the picture I just added below this one. Tell me what you think.

That looks great too Nancy!

Love your interpretation of this one, and of course the Spanish moss!

Thank you Brian! I agree the painting looks good either way.

Thank you so much Jessie! I saw you live in Central FL. Me too. We have Spanish moss everywhere. I thought it could work in this painting. Also, you are. CRI?!!! That’s so amazing. Do you teach?

I am a CRI! I mostly do online stuff. I stream on Twitch and upload those streams to YouTube both under the name LadyGalaga

I just started following you on both. I am really excited about this!
