This was fun and pretty simple, but that is probably because it turned into a mud mixer! I am having a lot of trouble getting any level of detail on bushes, trees, grasses, etc. Basically everything where Bob just gives a gentle push of the brush onto the canvas - his looks amazing and mine is just a blob of mixed color.
Nice and it was the hardest thing I struggle with...getting the highlights on the trees.
Welcome! Those dang highlights...LOL. It really is something that will come with practice. We have all struggled! What worked for me was to make sure I thin my paint with liquid white and NOT paint thinner. Bob makes it look sooooo easy.
I really like the river banks and your water here especially. My suggestion on the highlights is first make sure you have a good dark base (so the highlights will really pop). Then I usually use the round brush with a touch of liquid clear (or as Pam said you could use liquid white if you don’t mind the color getting a little lighter). Don’t be afraid to put a decent amount of paint on the brush too.

Maybe try just barely touching the canvas when doing your foliage. Bob makes it look so easy. But he painted 30k-40k canvases.
