I am not sure why but whenever I want to just spontaneously try a Bob Ross tutorial I always graduate the more autumn themed ones even though those are mostly my least favourite paintings regarding the color palette. Also it is so easy to get cought in a rush with Bob. In this one I totally forgot a step. Can you guess what it is?
Anyway I am actually pretty pleased with the foreground. I think I managed a better perspective than the original with the shoreline which is something I wanted to achieve. Also I decided to give the birches a shadowside by mixing the white with a hint of blue and I think that came out nicely.
I like yours better than the one I did. Next time I do this one I will use yours as a guide!
The shadows on the birches worked perfectly Marc! This is super!
Thanks to the three of you!
Thats a huge compliment Jessie!
And yes jos, I also forgot the little evergreen! But what bothered me more is that I totally forgot to highlight the midground tree on the right. Actually I forgot the big one too but I at least managed to kind of fix it even after thw birches were in. Peiple tell me they didn't even notice but it's (not) there and I know it 😄
Wow! Beautiful Marc! Very well executed!
Thanks Nancy!
This turned out so soft and pretty! great birch trees. Overall very nice colors!

I miss the evergreen, but I like the birchtrees very much and I think the composition is great.
