I used a painting I found in a google search as a reference for the layout. Probably because I’m new to painting, but I found it more difficult than using a photo as a reference due to some things just not looking right.

Hi Tholmes79, pretty sure this is a painting i did myself a while back but again with several differences, i called it " A view from the steps 2" ...it's still in my portfolio if you would like to take a look...if it isn't the same composition it's an amazing coincidence.This looks great, i love these med scenes, Pietro has done some great ones!
Hey tel you are right! They are so similar. Looks like almost the exact same composition. I wouldn’t be surprised if we used the same reference or it is a coincidence.
